Cait Mcclarin – msc
Welcome
I am an integrative therapist and counsellor and lecturer based in Bristol and Corsham.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, please feel free to browse this website and contact me if you’d like to book a no obligation conversation to see if I am the right fit for you.

My practice
I believe that a different therapy must be constructed for each patient because each has a unique story.
– Irvine D. Yalom
My name is Cait McClarin (she/her) Msc MBACP an Intergrative counsellor and therapist based in Bristol. I also am a lecturer teaching as part of a Masters programme for psychotherapy.
I am interested in people’s unique stories and working collaboratively to support growth and healing.
I understand that therapy can be daunting and that choosing what type of therapist seems right for you might feel confusing and overwhelming.
My belief is that we all are deserving of a safe space in which we are able to bring parts of ourselves which might be hard to discuss, feel hidden or shameful and be met with compassion and non-judgement.
I provide a safe-space for you to feel seen. heard and supported.
I aim to meet you where you are currently, and to work collaboratively and relationally to support you in the process of brining clarity and self-acceptance into your life.
Together we may look into the past, present and future as well as considering both your mind and body, as I believe all of these are interconnected and inform one another.
I have worked with clients on a range of presenting issues and have experience in; relationship struggles, trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, identity, sexuality, self-esteem, family issues and abuse.

What To Expect
Things to know when starting
It might feel intimidating, confusing or exciting to start therapy. Perhaps you are unsure on what you wish to work on or talk about. Don’t worry we can work it together. No two people have the same therapeutic goals.
You don’t have to be at rock bottom to begin
Regardless of how you feel now it is okay to begin therapy at any point. Therapy and counselling can act as an intervention, prevention or exploration as well as support for you at your lowest.
The space is non-judgemental
It might be difficult to bring challenging and potentially uncomfortable thoughts or experiences. Everything including anger, shame, sex, dreams and fears are all welcome. It may be there is something you wish to bring but don’t initially feel ready and that’s okay too. We can work toward creating a secure space where you feel comfortable sharing.
How long/How frequent are sessions?
Sessions are scheduled once per week. The session length is 60 minutes.
What are the fees?
My fees are £60 per session. .
Counselling and Therapy is a process
Counselling and therapy is a process of steps taken which move us toward a richer understanding or our own internal and external worlds. This might not always feel linear but the aim is to lead to deeper fulfilment in the lives we lead.
